The Portuguese navy tall ship Sagres is set to arrive in Funchal tomorrow. The iconic big sail ship, one of the most visited national symbols, is to stay in Funchal for three days, once more further embellishing the beautiful bay.

The ship with the white sails carrying the crosses of the Order of Christ is thus back to one of its most visited harbours in its almost 55 years in the service of the Portuguese navy – it was. After all, its first port of call under Portuguese flag.

This weekend, with all the rally cars flying through the mountains, the ship is to stay in Funchal. Giving all those interested in it a further chance to visit it…
