Paulo Cafôfo made a point of being present, this week, at the carnival celebration of the Santa Luzia community centre.
Linked to the local civil parish, the centre received the president and his team, with whom the users of the centre interacted.
This meeting is part of the Open Presidencies of the Funchal council, which has invested in an active senior population, which Paulo Cafofo considered important for the future stability of the council.
The president stated that active ageing, inclusion and quality of life are structural policies of the council, and stressed the importance of municipal gyms and community centres in the dynamics of the senior inhabitants of the city, as these structures have over two thousand users every month.
