Porto Santo elders visited Madeira

The Porto Santo council organized for a few days a seniors’ tour to Madeira.

Fifty elders made part of the group, organized as part of the programme “Ser Idoso: percursos de uma vida active” (To be elderly: routes of an active life)

This trip, a very special occasion for all partakers, had an active role for Filipe Menezes de Oliveira, the president of the council.

As part of the journey’s programme, there was a visit and a reception at the Funchal council, with the president of its president, Paulo Cafofo, as well as cultural visits, namely the convent and church of Santa Clara, the Botanicals Garden and the Madeira theme Park, as well as a bus tour through the island.
