Floating New Year’s eve

One of the most sought after venues for watching the fireworks display in Funchal is the ferry Lobo Marinho.

This year, the ship will open its doors in three distinct timings, the first one being the dinner for 250 people.

The welcome cocktail is always followed by a luxurious meal, at 260 euro for adults and 130 euro for children, in a glamorous environment that has had its faithful for many years. If the option is merely to watch the fireworks, one can board from 22h30, joining the other passengers, for 135 euro for adults and 67,5 for children. There are 765 places on board for this possibility. And there will still be 79 places for after the return to the harbor where, just like in previous years, one can enjoy life music with Cristina Barbosa, Vania Banganho, OIDogs and DJ Sil.

There’s an open bar all through the night for all those aboard, despite the fact that those boarding before the fireworks are entitled to a late supper after 02h30, and open bar all through the firt eve of the year.

Of course, this is the liveliest party in Madeira, but Porto Santo Line is aware that people aren’t all on board at the same time, which makes the venue an attractive alternative for the party marking the beginning of the New Year in Madeira.

The fact is that allying the symbolism of the date with the unique venue that Lobo Marinho is, giving oje a unique view of the fireworks, this should always be an option when choosing the place in which to spend the night of December 31^st.
